MANILA, Philippines — Commuters on Thursday expressed dismay and exasperation over the standstill traffic along South Luzon Expressway (SLEX), blaming the trouble on heavy rain and flooding in the area.

According to a tweet from SLEX’s official account, as of 10: 27 a.m., there is heavy and tail-end traffic on the northbound lane of the expressway, specifically along the Alabang Viaduct. All other areas have light traffic.
